From September 24th to 25th, 2015, the 2015 Polyethylene (PE) Gas Pipe Network Application Safety Technology Seminar and the New National Standard for Polyethylene (PE) Gas Pipeline Publicity Conference was held in Suzhou. The conference was co-hosted by the China Gas Association and the Plastic Piping Professional Committee of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association. Nearly 200 people from G5+ member units, gas companies, upstream raw material manufacturers, pipeline product manufacturers, inspection departments, urban gas design, construction, acceptance, supervision, management departments and scientific research institutions attended the meeting.

With the continuous growth of domestic natural gas demand, various gas companies continue to increase pipeline construction. How to comprehensively improve the safe operation of gas is a topic that needs the most attention in the gas pipeline industry. Through this meeting, the academic exchanges in the gas industry have been strengthened; the current situation and development of the gas industry and the plastic pipe industry for gas, as well as the application of gas PE pipes in the city gas pipeline network; and the relevant national industry standards and foreign standards And experience; promote the application of PE pipeline systems in the field of gas safety, and further understand the performance and development of relevant PE gas pipeline raw materials, pipeline product production, quality and testing requirements, design and gas pipeline application experience.
